Interview
There was a screening call with a recruiter and then a one hour video call with the hiring manager who worked remote. There was no coding test or systems design questions. I was ghosted by the internal recruiter, who never contacted me after the interview. After almost two months the hiring portal finally said I was no longer under consideration,
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company in Oct 2021
Interview
Pretty typical interview pipeline for a larger company.
1. Recruiter screening
2. Management + Tech lead screening with 1 technical question
3. All day 4-5 person interview panels. 2x technical, 2x management.
Really disappointed in the recruiter that assisted me though. First interaction they called me by someone else's name and I questioned whether or not I should be in the process in the first place. Next, upon completing my full interview day, they took nearly 3 weeks to get back to me because they apparently left for vacation, and I received a templated decline response. No feedback or reasons why, nothing.
Sad I wasted weeks of effort and worry on a job I honestly really wanted. I almost fear my recruitment coordinator's vacation time delayed their hiring process so they just went with another candidate for the job. Really upset.
