I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company (Burbank, CA) in Feb 2022
Interview
*this is technically more of a strategy internship and less finance - it falls within the content/streaming area of Disney*
Heard back within probably 1 or 2 weeks for 1st round interview. 1st round was over the phone with a recruiter (way better than a video interview staring at yourself imo). After that, I heard back within I think about 3 more weeks for 2nd round which was 3 separate interviews all scheduled at once (with a Manager, Sr. Manager, and Director). About 2 weeks after that, I heard back to schedule a 3rd round interview which was 1 interview with the Vice President. Within the next roughly 2 weeks I heard back with an offer!
Overall, the process went really smoothly! Everybody always overstated how long it would take for me to hear back so I was never left waiting. Entire process took roughly 2 months from initially being asked to schedule 1st round interview to receiving an offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1st round with recruiter: First question was the classic "tell me about yourself." All behavioral questions and questions about my resume. I surprisingly wasn't asked "Why Disney" or even "Why this role". The final question was interesting - "What haven't I asked you yet that I should have?" or something like that.
2nd round with team: Each of the three 2nd round interviews starting with us greeting each other and them asking "tell me about yourself". After that, I was asked about my most recent internship because it was a different finance internship at a competing entertainment company. The rest of the questions focused on my skills such as Excel - no Excel test but was asked about my experience using it. Also got some questions about the entertainment industry.
3rd round with VP: This one was 100% fit questions to see if I'd be a good fit with the team and to check my motives. Basically the first 2 rounds already determined that I could do the job - this one was just the main leader testing my personality. Super conversational with me receiving a lot of advice from them.
There was 1 HR and then 1 team interview, with the hiring manager and senior analyst. The process was fast and I received a phone call offer right away on the weekend,
