I was not looking for a move but I was reached out to on linked in and sent a link to schedule time. I figured it was Disney and they value customer and candidate experience so I should take the call as my current company and I value the same. I was impressed with the chat bot and scheduling system - this made me excited to move on. I spoke to the recruiter she was friendly and made me feel great. She shared I was meant to work at Disney and she was excited for me to talk to her team. She promised to reach out in a week. After two weeks I sent a message checking in - I waited because I know our industry is busy and I thought “this Is DISNEY surely there is a reason” . Finally she reached out and told me they were not filling that role anymore however they had it posted for several weeks. I expected more transparency from Disney- but I’m glad I learned they are not transparent and I’m glad I also learned about their lack of focus on candidate experience before joining. I’m not excited about going back although I have been passionate about the brand for years this left a really bad taste in my mouth- really it is the lack of transparency- that is a reflection of the culture on their HR/Recruitment team because it is ok with them and therefore it is not the company for me. If you are ok with that approach you might find a match with Disney!
