I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company (New York, NY) in Jul 2022
Interview
I interviewed with 5 people across the Disney Streaming Services team. My first interview was July 5th. It went well and I was invited for 4 more interviews over the next few weeks. My last interview was on July 27th. I had to wait an entire 3 weeks to receive an offer; however, I was significantly low-balled. This position is asking for 5+ years of experience and yet the base salary offered was $118K with a $15K sign on bonus. The base salary is approx. $7K higher than the salary of the person who had the role previously. I tried to counter for at least a base of $130K but the recruiter shut me down multiple times as I was trying to make a case for this. I called back and eventually declined the offer only to have the recruiter laugh while I was telling her this. My current experience + the current CTV/OTT market can easily help me secure a salary well over $130K so I would've been settling. I hope the next person can get a better offer!
