This was a lengthy process! I applied in April and had my first interview the first week of June and my second interview the last week of June. Both interviews was virtual on Microsoft Teams. The decision was made in September.
The first interview was with the potential manager. Different conservation teams have different managers, but mine was very sweet. She made the interview easy going and asked technical questions about my work experience and how it would contribute to the role I was applying for.
The second interview was with her and the director of animal operations. This interview was more about my soft skills and a quick summary about myself.
Pros: sounds like a great company and you’re able to help other conservation teams with their projects
Cons: took 6 months to complete the process and was told growth opportunities is very limited
