Interview
First recruiter screening call, Two seperate hiring manager interviews, an hour presentation with the team, then four 30 min 1:1s with various team members, then final 1:1 with HM. The interview process in general was fine but very dragged out. The HM postponed their final interview twice. Total time from recruiter reach out to final interview was 3-4 months. By the time they were ready to make a decision, I had already accepted a job at a FAANG.

Question 1
What's the biggest challenge you had from your current job? And how did you solve it?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2022

Mostly the interviewer explaining the job I applied in detail and they also introduced to a different role that they think I would fit better than the original based on my portfolio which was nice/good.

Question 1
They basically just let me drive and scroll my portfolio to talk and sometimes asked “what did you make in this project?” (if it’s a group project) mostly to seek if I have matching skills they were looking for.
Other than that, they only asked practical questions, such as when I would be able to join the team and salary etc. Surprisingly there was no question such as “why choosing us?” or “what’s your career goals?” or “what’s your passion over design?” kinda stuff which would dig my personality more.
After all the new role didn’t really fit to my experience either so I declined the further interview process unfortunately.
They were very nice people and seemed having passion and pride working there. I would hope to have more suitable role for me in the future.
