I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA)
Interview
Recruiter phone screen about a week after applying online. Then 1-hour call with hiring manager about a week after. 2 weeks later flew me to Boston HQ for 5-6 hours of face-to-face interviews. Rushed me through 9-10 interviewers with no breaks.
2 weeks go by, no response. Emailed them asking for update. 2-3 days later got a “we still need more time” response. 5 days later sent another email with same response. Then, 4 weeks after the original face-to-face interview, the recruiter set up a call with me and blew me off. Replied back that I was just going to go directly to the hiring manager which finally got them to call and tell me no. Zero useful feedback from the recruiter.
I was told post-interview that I should hear back in less than a week. Way to set expectations Wayfair!
The lack of responsiveness of the recruiting team combined with the rushed nature of the interviews were big red flags. This company seems to be in a ugly chaotic state. Would not have taken the offer even if given.

Meet interview with recruiter who was kind and courteous, in the end we didn't progress as the role was scoped at a level that didn't meet the salary expectations of the people they want to hire (she said as much)

Question 1
Described role in detail, aSKED about my current role, PM nature of it
I don't normally write reviews, but felt that my experience sadly warranted one. Without going into too much detail, my interview process took about 2+ months and *many* hours of my time. I'd gone through 4/4 rounds (all of which were pleasant) and at the final stage my recruiter said, "We're just going to finalize some details and get you your offer by next week." I was happy to hear this and appreciated the specific timeline.
The next week comes, and there is no communication. Then another week. At this point, I'm a bit confused/frustrated, so I reach out for further information and ask if I can provide or clarify anything. No response.
It's now been a month since that encounter, so I'm assuming there won't be an offer. But to have a candidate go through all stages of an interview, potentially OFFER them something, and then not respond at all is extremely disheartening and rude. There seem to be several other reviews detailing ghosting experiences on here and from what I've heard via word of mouth - so if you apply for this company, please be warned.
