I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Wayfair
Interview
The recruiter reached out. An initial interview with the recruiter setup. Then a meeting with the hiring manager. Then a case study with the interview panel. Many more 15 min talks with the recruiter in between. I passed the case study. Then, they decided not to hire for the position! Waste of time!
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in Oct 2019
Interview
1 Phone screen with recruiter
1 phone screen with hiring manager
1 case interview by video conference
Day long interview set with peers, team members and HM that included a case presentation
Overall, the beginning of the process was fast. The day long interview process was disorganized and a waste of time. My schedule changed 2x in the 48 hours before the interview then changed at the start of the day long interview and then was cancelled in the middle. It felt highly disorganized and disrespectful of my time. Not a good experience
