Interview
Quick phone chat with a recruiter and I was moved to a technical phone interview with one of their engineers. The tech interview was fair game to me and it was no different than other companies. A few of the questions were posed in a different way and caught me off guard. I can't go into specifics due to nda.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Waymo (Mountain View, CA) in Feb 2018
Interview
I had a call with an engineer on their team. I signed an NDA so I can't go into the specifics of the interview.
After the call it was very difficult to get a response from the HR. I think they were interviewing other candidates in parallel, and had me on some waiting list, so they weren't willing to provide me with a concrete response.
I wrote to them about once a week - the HR would promise to get back to me by the end of day and then would not contact me. Finally, she told me they found someone else when I contacted her about 4 weeks after my initial interview. She forgot to update me after they had made a decision.
I think my interview process was handled poorly by them.
