The interview was very detailed. The manager within the Neurosurgery group at the time wanted to know all about my expertise and experience. She also asked how I dealt with large patient loads and doctors that wanted to be "catered" to. Some people might not like that, but she presented all of the "would-be" contentious points and asked if I could deal with that. She was very open about what to expect and what I would be getting into. I took it that she wanted to gauge my commitment. She also told me that the staff was supportive of family and asked my personal obligations. I told her and she gave an immediate response to my suitability for the job.
