      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Wayne-Sanderson Farms (Decatur, AL) in Sep 2023

      Interview

Phone interview first, generic interview questions and if I was ok working with cold temperatures and wet areas. They then had me go on a tour of the chicken plant, this place’s break area quite literally looks like jail lol. Any little hallway or wall in the plant building is rotting, kind of looks like an abandoned house if that makes sense. Everyone who works here falls into the ghetto category or people trying to make a quick buck. Employees here are creepy and odd to be honest. From what I can see, HR and regular Line Associates lacked any sort of professionalism. There are no uniforms, employees just wear whatever they want like Nike, adidas, just boots and their aprons over. The work area was nasty, but as expected. The person who gave me the tour stated people get hired everyday and people quit everyday. Its obvious why. I then got put face to face with a supervisor for an interview. It was obvious he was a little off or lacking intelligence, almost crazy. I was then drug tested then offered the position, which I did not return to. Had a friend who worked there and got hit on by 3 different creepy old men in one day. Would not recommend anybody to even interview here.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Why do you wanna work here? What jobs have you worked in the past and why did you leave them? Tell me about a time you made a mistake. Are you comfortable working in areas under 40 degrees? Are you comfortable working in moist damp areas? Tell me about yourself

They called and texted from the HR department to set up an appointment for me to come in at their Union Springs location. You park in employee parking and go to the HR building nearest the entrance to first attend a PowerPoint presentation in a group, then you're given a tour of the job you would be doing. After the tour you're taken back to the HR building for an interview with the line leader where you'd be placed. After your interview they tell you if you have gotten the job.
