The process was a bit odd. I was contacted directly by a recruiter at Waystar who found me via LinkedIn. We had a phone call to discuss my experience and it sounded like I would be a good fit for the role. I then had a call with a hiring manager and the call went well. We discussed what I'd worked on and my experiences with various technologies. When I heard back from the recruiter I was told that the hiring manager had liked me, but they were not going to move forward because I did not have enough/any experience with two technologies. Those two technologies were not on my LinkedIn or resume and they did not come up during the initial call with the recruiter. Everyone I talked with was very friendly and I ended the discussion with a positive view of the company. It was just odd to be contacted directly, have an initial call to discuss experience, have a call with a hiring manager, and then be turned down for lacking experience in areas I never claimed to have experience with.
