I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at WebstaurantStore (Tampa, FL) in May 2020
Interview
Phone call with a software engineering manager. Seems like they want you to have textbook answers to questions like word for word. They hire like a big tech company, but do not have the salary to back it up as they have 4-5 rounds of interviews. From the information that was given from the interview, it seems like you have a 60 day probationary period before they decide to actually hire you before benefits come in, which is unheard of. Although I was rejected, I was able to get an offer at a significantly better company with a 30% pay increase from what they were planning on offering me (salary expectations came up in the first call).
Note to management: The people who will pass your interview and get hired by you will leave soon after. If they can pass your interview, they can pass a higher paying company's interview. Your standards are too high for the salary and benefits that you are offering.
Reading from another interview review from someone who interviewed for a software engineering manager role, it closely aligned with my experience. The environment is sink or swim rather than an environment of mentoring, despite what they say and they want managers comfortable with firing people within 60 days. Low tier company trying to hire like a tech giant without the same benefits.

Started with a phone personality interview where they asked mostly non-technical questions with some generic technical questions mixed in. Next and final interview was a video call with the team manager with more technical questions but no coding.
