The phone interview was your typical interview questions like tell me about yourself, what are your strengths, why do you think you would be a good fit in this role, etc. The guy who did the phone interview from Tampa was very nice and answered all of my questions. The second interview was a video interview with a girl and a guy from PA. They asked pretty much the same questions that were asked in the phone interview. But what struck me the most, was it looked like both of the managers rolled out of bed to do the interview. As managers of a company, you are representing who you work for, so I didn't think it was appropriate that they were not dressed professionally for the video interview. They also were just going through the motions of the interview and it seemed like they didn't have much personality or enthusiasm. I'm not sure what they look for in a candidate for their content department. I was not selected for a third interview even though I have extensive experience in editing. Maybe I was over qualified for the two positions. I think they already had someone in mind for the positions - probably their friends. I bet they pass up a lot of qualified candidates that would do a great job for the company. Hopefully the CEO/president looks into their hiring practices before they lose out on more qualified candidates.
