It was a short phone interview. However, I think the interviewer was pretending not to hear me, so that he could make me repeat my answers on purpose. I don’t know if he wasn’t able to take notes fast enough or what. I think he was doing it to cut me off when I answered questions that pertained to parts of the industry that I’m very passionate about as well. I was staying on topic, and I wasn’t providing long answers at all. I don’t think the company is posting honest job descriptions, because the interviewer told me that the position was not related to the key words listed in the job description. However, the interviewer is actually in a senior role within the department that the position is categorized under. Why would the role not be related to his department? It just didn’t make any sense. After the interview, I lost interest in the role and withdrew my application. I did not understand why he was interviewing applicants for a position without being sure of the exact job duties. I left the interview confused instead of having a better understanding of the role. The company should edit the job description to better fit the experience and qualifications in which they are seeking in a candidate.
