      I interviewed at Weedmaps

      Interview

A few 1:1 and team interviews that ends in a panel interview. Some of the interviewers were pleasant and supportive but there were one that seemed to dislike me immediately upon meeting me. Prior to the interviews, they requested a project charter inclusive of technical requirements as part of the interview process. This was reviewed and approved so the recruiter informed me that no further technical questions will be covered during the rest of the process. When I was told that they would not be moving forward with me, they said that I was not technical enough. Communication between the recruiter and hiring team seems to have misalignment.

      Interview

The recruiter and hiring manager were both fantastic and really made me feel like I was valued as a candidate, even though ultimately they wanted someone more senior for the role.

I applied online. I interviewed at Weedmaps in Dec 2020

      Interview

Four-part process: 1. Talent screen with recruiter. Checking if you have basic understanding about core aspects of the role. 30 minutes 2. "Discipline" screen with hiring manager. Getting more into the weeds about the nuances of the role. 45 minutes 3. "Take-home Challenge". A written assignment to test your writing proficiency, attention to detail, and competence for the role. They say 1-2 hours, but in my effort to be comprehensive and thorough, I easily spent 6-8 hours. 4. Final Interviews. (a few hours with a mix of tech team members). I have no insight here, because they did not schedule one.
