I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Weedmaps (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2021
Interview
I was approached by the company to apply to the account strategist position. I met with the a Director for the Account Strategic role and I was really taken back by the feedback I was provided with after our interview.
Most of the comments I received were in regards to my appearance rather than my experience I spoke about in great detail. I felt like i was being discriminated against even though the company culture praises itself on accepting everyones authentic self. Being that they work in the cannabis industry and spoke so highly about their culture I would never expect the negative approach and sexist comments. I thought 2020 would have taught us that we need to be more inclusive and not exclude people based on gender, sex and orientation.
Good they called me on the phone after we set up the interview via email. They were very good about setting up the interview. Overall is was a very smooth and easy process
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Weedmaps (New York, NY) in Apr 2022
Interview
The team lead for the call was late to the online meeting and during the call was engaging in emails and Slack/Teams messaging to find out more details about the role being hired for. Utter waste of time taking their call.
