A recruiter contacted me for a Workday Analyst position. We set up a phone conversation where I discussed my background, interests, as well as the potential role. Two days later a recruiting assistant reached out to schedule an video interview with the hiring manager later that week. The day before the interview another recruiter contacted me to make sure I had received all the information I needed to attend the interview. He asked me to call him after the interview. I met with the hiring manager and had a positive conversation. Afterwards, I called the recruiter, as requested, and gave my feedback, that it was a positive experience for me. He mentioned he would be in touch the following week for a follow up.
I did not receive any response the following week, nor the one after that. After 3 weeks I emailed the original recruiter who contacted me about the opportunity and inquired for a status update. I did not receive any response. It is now a month after the interview with the hiring manager and I have not received any update, even after inquiring. I am disappointed that the recruiter did not show me the respect to follow up as he said he would as well as my ignored email asking for an update. I can accept their decision to go in a different direction, but find the lack of follow up rude when they implied they would keep me informed.
