The phone banker position I was applying for was part of a job fair that Wells Fargo was holding. I submitted my application and resume on their website, then went to the job fair. It consisted of an initial small interview with the head recruiter. She sat down with me and pulled up my application and resume, on the computer. Then, she asked a few questions about what I knew about the position, in which I was applying and some questions about work history. At this point, she decided whether or not I was eligible for an interview, with a supervisor. The 1 on 1, with the recruiter, took about ten minutes.
The interview with the supervisor was one of the most comfortable situations ever. She actually pointed out before the interview started that, "this will be different than any other interview, in a sense that it will feel more like a conversation," and she was right. She went more into detail about my work history. She asked me basic questions like, "What was your most fulfilling sales experience?" - "Now, your most fulfilling sales experience working with a team?" She also asked me to explain my selling techniques and just had a general conversation about work, why I chose Wells Fargo and what I would bring to them. The conversation ended with her asking me if I had any questions for her, which it's always a good idea to inquire about the position, in the end so you show you definitely have interest. I asked her about the work environment, how much sales was a part of the job and a few other things. It was just an all-around comfortable interview and didn't feel like there was any pressure, at all. The 1 on 1, with the supervisor, took about one hour.
