The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Welltok (Denver, CO)
Interview
The interview process was sloppy at best.
I had a phone screen and then after weeks of back and forth, I was finally brought in for an in person interview. The interview lasted a little over 4 hours, and I met with many different people within the organization.
Each person seemed to have a different response to my background and skills, and in the end I wasn’t even sure what the responsibilities of the role were as every person seemed to fixate on different things (I.e “We’re looking for a SQL expert!” / “SQL experience isn’t necessary in this role” etc.). Very odd and confusing experience.
I had to take work off to do this interview, and in the end they didn’t even bother sending me an official rejection email. It’s incredibly inconsiderate to bring a person in and then ghost them post-interview. I don’t think this was intentional though, I think they are so disorganized that the recruiter just forgot to follow up or maybe even forgot that I had interviewed. Either reason wouldn’t surprise me - But this is a red flag nonetheless.
I learned more about what the company lacks during the process than what they could offer. They seriously need to get it together if they want to attract and retain the right kind of candidates.
