I went through a phone screen, a 1-1 interview, then a panel interview that included a presentation I had to prepare in advance.
While I enjoyed the team and all of my interactions with them (everyone was interesting, smart and easy to talk to), the candidate experience needs improvement. Unfortunately, my original recruiter left mid-process, so there were several weeks without an update. Then, after my final round, I was told to expect feedback within the week, and it took two emails and almost a month to finally hear back that I was not selected. Unfortunately, due to poor internal communication on their end, I seemingly fell between the cracks, and they essentially forgot to follow up with me after going with a different candidate. I appreciate the recruiter being honest that she assumed someone had let me know, and I hope that West takes note of this and continues to improve their processes.
Candidates put a lot of time, energy, and effort into interviewing and while we all hope to be the choice, at a minimum, keeping a candidate informed and updated as an employer really sets you apart! West is doing some incredible things culture-wise, and I hope they take this feedback and improve on it.
