A quick phone screen with recruiter that focused more on the job details and the benefits over asking me direct questions regarding my experience (though there were a couple of those questions). The recruiter then followed up a couple days later to schedule a time for a panel style interview a week and a half out. The panel interview itself was by far one of the best interview experiences I've ever had. The entire process was casual and felt very comfortable. The interviewers attempted to get to know me on both a professional and personal level with a clear goal of making sure that I was a right fit for their company and that their company was a right fit for me. It was a great experience and the hour just completely flew by. A week later, I hadn't heard anything, so I reached out to the recruiter and was told they were still in the process of finishing up their scheduled interviews. Another week went by and I reached out for another update and was ghosted by the recruiter. I was more surprised that I was left in limbo than that I didn't get the job just because of how friendly and personable everyone seemed to be. I was hoping to be able to get some constructive feedback or build my network up some more and got nothing. It is a shame that companies can take up so much time by requesting a few rounds of interviews (knowing that you are also prepping for each one), and then they can't send a quick email to let you know you didn't get a position... Alas, you live and you learn (and you move on to *hopefully* better things).
