I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Western Washington University (Bellingham, WA) in Dec 2013
Interview
The standard at WWU is that a job is open to Internal Candidates first (anyone who is a permanent position currently), then it goes to any lay offs, then it goes External. They don't review applicants until it closes. If you don't meet the minimum requirements, they wont consider you. No exceptions. You must explain and demonstrate in your cover letter and resume how you meet those requirements. After that, if you are the top candidates, they will interview you on the phone and or in person. It could take 2-6 weeks to hear back for an interview. After that, if you are selected as a finalist they will reach out to your three references. After the interview process it could take an additional 2-4 weeks to get a letter of offer because of the paperwork involved at WWU. They can reach out to you and let you know they are still in the process.
