Started with me applying for the job from Linkedin, to which i got a call back within few hours. First there was a phone screening round, where the talent acquisitions specialist wanted to know why i'm looking for this particular role and how i think i'm fit for this role. It was followed by a very detailed conversation about the role of CSMs in Whatfix and how i could be one. (it was a role change for me, i have no experience of being a CSM)
Once the expectations were set, a telephonic interview was scheduled for the same evening which an experienced CSM in Whatfix.
This interview last for over an hour, where the interviewer patiently listened to my present work experience, asked questions related to it, asked many scenario based questions. Since i was looking for a role change, the questions were focused on how my present role would help in becoming a better CSM. To test my technical knowledge, i was asked few javascript and few web technology based questions.
Next a F2F technical round was scheduled within few days, i was forewarned that the interview would take anywhere between 5-7hrs and to study hard (html, js, css) as the questions are not going to be easy. So, on the interview day, the technical round started at 2pm with 2 problems related to html/js/css, 1 problem related to basic Pseudo programming and a scenario based presentation, I was given 3hrs to complete this and as they warned - i was stumped.
Next 3 hrs i was interviewed by many people, asking me all kinds of questions related to my present work, how it could have been improved and my contribution (I was warned that they will try to throw me off my game). The technical round was evaluated, given inputs on how it could have been done differently.
By 8pm i was physically and mentally exhausted, as it was one of the most intense interview process i have seen, even if not the most difficult. It was like stress interview where your very assumption is challenged and reevaluated. Everyone i spoke to was very knowledgeable and to the point.
At the end i wasn't selected because 'html/js/css' isnt one of my core competencies, but it still was a good learning experience.
