      Content Strategist Interview

      Accepted offer

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Whatfix (Bengaluru) in May 2017

      Interview

There are interviews and then there are interviews. This is the latter. Rarely do you feel that you have come out of an interview learning something about yourself or the area that you work in. Interviewing with Whatfix will definitely give you this feeling. The knowledge that the department heads have is extremely deep. And they are so quick with the whole process that you will wish for some time between rounds. Just one way to summarize the whole interview. If you want to start learning something new in your field and don't know where to begin, just apply to Whatfix, give the interview, you'll get your answers. Because these guys don't stick to a template interview. They get to the bottom of everything and everyone is going to find something there. My interview process started with Victor, the Talent Evangelist at Whatfix beginning the first round. One word of caution, beware of him. He is not your regular HR guy. He'll totally put you at ease and then start grilling you technically. And his knowledge of multiple disciplines is amazing. So you'll want to be prepared for the technical rounds but be doubly prepared before you speak with him too because he can spring some surprises. The next rounds were with the Marketing Head, Vipul and the Product Head, Kapil separated by an assignment. Both were really chilled out and made it seem like they were just casually discussing some stuff about marketing and my past experience. Time just flew. The Marketing Head's round was, obviously, more around marketing practices, strategies, achievements in previous work experiences and so on. The Product Head also discussed things around content marketing and its strategies. Surprisingly, he asked me to rework the assignment based on his suggestions. That doesn't happen too often. People just see the assignment and chuck it if they don't really agree. But here, it wasn't the case. I reworked the assignment with the suggestions and it turned out better than the first iteration. Final round was with the CEO, Khadim Batti. I was initially a little nervous but Whatfix doesn't stop surprising you. The round didn't even seem like an interview round. It was just a very deep chat about me and my work. And he is super clear with his ideas, very well read, very fluid and totally knows where he is taking the company. And I am sure he got to know what he wanted to know about me. Another word of caution, these guys are madly in love with data. So keep your numbers ready.
