I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Whatfix (Bengaluru) in Dec 2019
Interview
I was referred by a former colleague and had my first phone screening round with Harshil. It was immediately followed up with 1st round with a senior employee.
Post which, I had one technical round and a final face to face with a CS director.
I had been interviewing simultaneously with 4 other companies and below are the areas the team Whatfix absolutely nailed it.
1) Job description: This is 5/5. The clarity in the description of the role was wonderful. Detailed and to the point! It felt like these folks really knew what they were hiring for.
2) Communication: I'd give them a 4/5, expectations were well set and the interviewers in the following rounds did their homework well. They knew about the conversations in previous rounds.
3) Structured: 4/5, They were very clear what to ask in each of their respective rounds. This was promptly conveyed to me well in advance so I could be prepared.
4) Feedback: 5/5, prompt feedback was channeled back by Harshil and this really helped get a sense of what was going on at the other end and in turn pushed me to be better prepared!
At a time when most / if not all companies were on hiring break in the last 2 weeks of December, the team at Whatfix was the only one proactive enough to conduct interviews and send me an offer on the night of 31st December! A big kudos to Sneha and Harshil : )

Interview
The hiring process is broken, and the HR team often comes across as unprofessional. They lack the basic courtesy to convey updates, instead choosing to ghost candidates after multiple rounds of calls and meetings. While it’s understandable that a candidate might not be the right fit or that budgets may change, communication and transparency remain essential.
It’s unfortunate to see the culture deteriorating and becoming tainted as the company grows.

Question 1
There’s no structure to the interview process. They conduct a rigorous background check, but when it comes to offering support or providing clarity, it drops to zero — making it one of the most bizarre experiences.
The recruiter was super toxic. I had the right qualifications and was a good fit for the role but she tried to low ball me. That's not even my primary concern, at the end of the call, my self-respect was shattered, I questioned my skills and experience and I hate myself for going through the full call. Condescending tone. Whatfix is looking for AI robots for CSMs and not people who can work effectively with their customers. The TA will play 4D chess with you. You're not that great a company, feet on the ground please.

Question 1
Your experience and more importantly, why your skills mean nothing to them. Entire call was condescending.

The HR was extremely nice and helpful.
But the interviewers themselves were bad, I had a manager who in the name of stress test over extended by an hour and kept asking unreasonable and plain dumb things
