Interview
Whatfix came to our campus for the one year internship followed by full time offer. There were total 6 rounds. Around 500 students were registered in this drive
ROUND 1 - It was a simple quiz about the company just to test that how much a candidate know about it. Questions were like who is the CTO of the company, yoy rate, name of its clients, headquarters etc.
ROUND 2 -The students shortlisted from first round had to go through an online test hosted on hackerearth consisting of 14 mcq questions based on HTML, CSS and Javascript to check the proficiency over these technologies, and 2 coding questions were there. I solved around 10 questions correctly and one coding questions. I got selected for the next round.
ROUND 3- Total 60 students were selected. It was an extempore round in which any random topic was given to each student and they had to speak on it for around 3-4 minutes. Topics were very easy based on your hobbies and interests. Like I got the topic alcohol should be banned or not.
ROUND 4- Now 35 students were selected for this round. It was a technical round. They just wanted to check the proficiency over HTML, CSS and Javascript. Interview was conducted on google meet. First the interviewer asked me to give the introduction. After that he asked me several questions from my projects. Then he told me to open the notepad and write the program for leap year and some javascript code. My friends were asked to make changes in the website through inspect element. Like changing color through javascript, making any video auto start from a particular time. They also asked few logical questions like water jug problem and one question was that how to cut a cake into 8 pieces with just 3 cuts. It was not that tough interview, just you should be clear with your basics and that is enough. I made it to the next round of interview along with other 25 students.
ROUND 5- It was a business interview in which they just wanted to check that how much you know about the job role and the companies. That's it. So, just have a thorough knowledge about it. They also check your fluency in English as it is a client facing role in which you will have to interact with the foreign clients. So, try not to get nervous. Confidence is the key to crack this round. I cleared this round and total of 10 students were selected for the last round.
ROUND 6- It was an HR round. It was mainly to check that whether a candidate will be able to fit in the company environment or not. They wanted to know about each student personally like what kind of behavior they have, their thoughts and many more things. Like he asked me that do you have a large group of friends or just have 2-3 friends who are really nice. Then he asked me that what kind of person you are, tell me any 3 big achievements of your life and many questions like these. After that he interviewer gave me a scenario and asked me to write a mail. It was 1 hour long interview. They were having only 3 vacancies and I was not among that 3 students
