I was referred through a friend with who I had worked with earlier. His overall positive outlook and experience about the company, Product, culture compelled me to also apply.
Process started with an initial screening round with the Talent acquisition team - Sneha Singh, she was very professional and helpful throughout the process and always available. After that I had a 1 hour round with the Head of Product, it was a general round about my past experiences, team management, product philosophy, what I am looking for etc. He also spends 15 min answering my questions which were very helpful.
After this I was given an assignment, I was supposed to submit it within few days, but due to hectic schedule, it took sometime for me, as I kept them informed - they were ok with the delay. While there was some confusion with what is expected outcome from the assignment, I was given benefit of the doubt as I did ask questions about it at the start ( Tip: Do ask a lot of questions about the assignment and expectations from it beforehand to avoid the confusion)
While I was expecting the assignment presentation round, but it was deemed unnecessary by them and I was forwarded to next round with the co-founder and CTO, It was a very pleasant experience talking to Vara, he asked some specific and pointed questions about my past experience, my KRAs, impact I delivered in my past and my overall understanding of SaaS space. It was more of a conversation really where he also shared relevant titbits about Whatfix journey from time to time.
Next round was with VP engineering, again very professional and positive experience, lot of detailed and specific questions about my past experience, product approach, the experience of working with engineering teams etc.
The final round was with CEO, Khadim. It was more of a conversation, he had already gone through my profile in detail, so he didn't waste any time asking to walk through it, but rather asked specific questions about my past experience. I learned a lot in that 1 hour.
