I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Whatnot in Jun 2025
Interview
Absolute worst interview experience process. Cleared the technical screens, got manager approval in team matching, but the executive team denied the hiring decision for reason unknown. They are so stuck in the references section that it almost seems like references are very important.
I am very disappointed with the hiring committee. This speaks volume to their transparency principles.

The interview process at Whatnot started with a recruiter phone screen to discuss my background and interest in the platform. After that, I had a technical screen focused on algorithmic problem-solving and data structures.
