I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Whatnot (London, England) in Aug 2024
Interview
This was the most comprehensive, well managed interview process I've been through.
The process was efficient, I always knew what to expect next and each step of the process built upon the previous step. The recruitment team were incredibly quick with their response times and I felt very well supported throughout the process.
The end to end interview process gave a real sense of what it would be like to work at the company.
Whilst the interviews were challenging, there was a good balance between learning about the candidate and discovering more about life at Whatnot. It felt very much like a two-way conversation throughout the process.

Question 1
These varied per interview and were a mix of behavioural and competency based questions.
As you may expect, a number of questions were rooted in the company principles as well as having a good knowledge of the company and how your exact experience applies to the role.
Very slow and no clarity with timeline nor process. They lean heavy on past experience and prefer if you come from a team at Meta since most of their team came from there.
Very straightforward. I had 3 rounds of interviews. The first interview was with a recruiter, the second was with the hiring manager, and the third interview was with the director of the Customer Experience team. Throughout the interview process they asked me very straightforward behavioral questions, and they were eager to discuss what the job entailed. I was informed about the process each step of the way.

Tell me about a time when you’ve dealt with a difficult customer, and how were you able to turn their experience around?
