Whisper Social Media Editor interview questions

I felt like this job was right up my alley. With over 1.3 million followers online and having worked for a successful advertisement agency, I have had previous experience creating content to promote apps via social media campaigns... I'VE EVEN PREVIOUSLY BEEN A PAID INFLUENCER BY THE WHISPER APP ITSELF TO PROMOTE THE APP on my own channels to my million plus followers! A full month after I applied to the Social Media Editor position I received an email saying I've made it to the next step in the interview process and we set up a phone call... which I completely nailed! The interviewer was new and only there for a week, and left me hanging on my end with many long awkward pauses. Overall, the questions asked were standard asking about my experience which even the interviewer was wowed with my huge success on social media. I studied the job requirements meticulously before and had my answer to every question before it was asked. My confidence that my previous experience was more than applicable to this position was more than high. Interviewer said I did well and would send my resume over to the hiring manager immediately. After the weekend I find out they unfortunately do not want to proceed with my interview process... Was I too qualified for this position? Just kind of confused when the position requires to make cutting edge, buzz worthy content for Whisper's social media pages and there is an applicant who not only has done campaigns for whisper before.. but has over 1.3 million followers and has qualitative and quantitative proof of social media success. I was really bummed out because I find the app itself is very fun and I would have been a blast to use my expertise to blow up Whispers social media accounts even more than they already are. Guess they missed out on the perfect employee.
