I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at White & Case (London, England) in Nov 2023
Interview
30 mins HR , 30 mins Assoc - largely commercial and competency-based, no case study and no group sessions. Surrounded on CV and cover letter's content - asked on challenges the firm faces and economic issues.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What do you think will affect the firm most in the coming 10 years?
Its a one way interview. You have about 2 mins to answer 4 questions, and can practice before each question. My advice would be to ensure you really do your research on the firm; know a client/ deal they have worked on, an understanding of the role and what a trainee does.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Its 4 questions.
The first question was in relation to the role and understanding of what a trainee does.
Another question focused on a challenge the firm was facing and how they can curb it.
Rly nice. One grad rec, one senior associate. Both alternated questions - both very very nice. Smooth interview. Why law? Why W&C? Why an international firm? etc. What other firms did you apply to? Who are our competitors?
