I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Whiting-Turner
Interview
I had my first interview through my university career services. After that, I was called into an on-site interview at one of their nearby locations. Here, I was able to shadow an employee of my potential position, walk around the construction site to get the idea of working there, and interview with 4 people of various positions (Project managers, project engineers, etc.). Overall, I was there about 4 hours, and lunch was provided. They were all VERY nice, and the interview process was very casual. They are all just good guys looking for someone to add to the team.

Question 1
Do you know our competitors, and are you applying for positions there aswell?
I applied online. I interviewed at Whiting-Turner (Woodbury, NY) in Jan 2026
Interview
Was contacted 2 years after applying. It was a 4 hours interview process. Firstly, the VP gave us a presentation on the company's history, their service, and portfolio of their work. Then they conducted 1:1 interview with 3 employees at various levels. The interviews were very casual and aimed at a conversations type of interview. Alot of behavioral types of questions involving your experience. Some of the question they asked were repeats of the other interviewers, which made the later interviews stale and repetitive. Alot of young workers, which made it easier to connect with. Then they offered lunch at the break room, where you talk with other candidates and employees. Lastly, the VP gave the last presentation on benefits.
