I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Whitney Museum (New York, NY) in Nov 2016
Interview
It was a group interview in the sense that I Was interviewed by a few curatorial assistants at once for their intern positions. Questions were both the general type of interview questions as well as pertaining to their own specialty section and how you can fit into that role. Compared to my previous interview experience, they asked me to elaborate a lot on my previous experience.
There were two rounds, a behavorial call and and two technical assessments that I had to turn in by a certain due date. Employer was friendly throughout and maintained clear communication/expectations.
There was one interview before receiving the offer letter. It was around thirty minutes and contained a more detailed explanation of the intern's role. The interviewer then asked about my experiences.
