I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Altamonte Springs, FL) in Dec 2015
Interview
There was a brand new whole foods opening in Altamonte Springs, there was a job fair that they held interviews in groups where you told everyone about yourself, why you wanted to work for the company, perform skits of situations you may have to deal with and learn more about the company in general while a group of existing employees watched and observed the candidates.
After doing very well in the interview and receiving an offer to be a part time 20 (20+ hours a week) employee, they required a physical assessment that you needed to take at a physical therapy office. I passed everything with flying colors other than one thing, heavy lifting, which was carrying 50lbs over your head, which may not be hard for most people but at the time I only weighed 90lbs, so this was more than half my weight.
My offer was taken back after that as I could not lift the amount they wanted even though I only applied for a cashiers position (I could understand if it was a stocking position, but the most you would need to lift for cashiering would be 20lbs). I tried to call florida HR and explain the situation and they would not have any of it, refused to listen.
With that being said I do not believe they can call themselves equal opportunity employers.
Very simple, basic questions and received the job the next day. They asked me questions regarding company culture and my previous experience working with customer facing positions. I had two people interviewing me.
Very kind interviewer, short interview process with only one interview required. I was hired very quickly which was nice. I interviewer with the manager who was very welcoming and gave me the chance to ask any questions I had about the company as well.

Interview
Very short and straight to the point. Friendly people doing the interviews. Felt great and didn’t get nervous. They tell you the expectations on the spot to see if it’s actually something you’d like to continue with.
