I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Wichita, KS) in Aug 2014
Interview
Interviewed during the massive store hire when the location opened. Was interviewed with over 30 other candidates at first by a panel of 10 people. This included store leadership, regional leadership, and marketing team members. It was very intimidating and you had to find a way to stand out and be noticed. They broke us off into smaller groups of about 5 people, had us act out two separate scenarios pertaining to excellent customer service and advertising the Whole Foods brand, and then we waited to see if we'd receive a call back. Once I did receive the call back, I had a one on one interview with my team leader and was asked more off the cuff questions and was told when the store would be opening. We were then told to attend orientation at a local college and met all of the team leaders, supervisors, store leadership, regional leadership, and our fellow team members. It was a lengthy, 2 or 3 week process.
