Got contacted by the recruiter for a phone screen shortly after applying. It was scheduled for only 15 minutes. The recruiter called me 2 minutes early (which I found slightly unprofessional), then tried to claim that my resume and LinkedIn did not match. They asked me why I have a role listed on my LinkedIn but not on my resume...but it is listed on my resume, right in the middle of the page. Then, the recruiter said they would pass along the notes from the call, but the hiring manager is looking for someone with more experience in the supply chain industry and that I probably wouldn't be selected to move forward. Mind you, this is for an entry level sales role that requires 1-3 years of sourcing new biz - industry experience is not listed anywhere on the job description.
The call lasted a total of 8 minutes. It has been over 3 weeks, I haven't heard back, and the role is currently still listed on their careers page.
Overall, a bit of an odd experience in terms of the recruiter screen. Has me feeling like a dodged a bullet.
