Williams International interview questions

The interview process itself was very easy. A 30-minute screening to start, and then they flew me to Detroit for an in-person interview. While at the facility I spoke with two management-level engineers and mainly discussed my previous experience. I did not have to answer any technical questions. A majority of the time was spent showing me their facility, which was a cool experience. During the process there was an emphasis on making sure I was willing to relocate to the area, as previous offers they sent had been refused by candidates who didn't want to move to Detroit. All in all, it seemed as though they thought my resume spoke for itself. Since I was working through a recruiter, they would relay me info from Williams. They apparently even said Williams was writing up an offer, days before letting me know a higher-up shot me down entirely. The reason was that I didn't have the necessary years of experience. I'm not sure where the disconnect was, but why even consider me when a quick glance at my resume would show I was short a couple years of experience?
