Overall smooth, but I picked up signs that they were struggling to fill this role. First, I had seen this position open and reposted for the last 3+ years. The recruiter reached out to me and usually replied instantly after my questions (not bad, just new...). Just 2 mins after the HM interview, she followed up checking that I still wanted to move forward. The bigger red flag, however, was the HM joking how he couldn't keep anybody in that position for more than a year since he joined a decade ago...His excuse was that maybe he made them such strong marketers that they looked elsewhere. There was a straightforward take-home assignment but unfortunately I did not pass it. I'm 99% confident I got all the answers right, but I likely got dinged for not making it a pretty presentation. To be fair, I didn't put much effort into aesthetics because it paid well below my market rate and required 5x/week in-office, so I treated it more as practice.
