I drove to the in person interview just to wait around to finally speak with the store manager about how they had “over 30 people apply for this role!” Like that’s a lot and she wasn’t able to manage it or something. She asked me questions about my experience but it was obvious she didn’t care. Not sure if it’s company policy or something but don’t invite me to an interview if you don’t think I’m qualified in the first place. It’s also possibility she was making assumptions about my identity beforehand and when I didn’t match them she wrote me off. The best part about this experience is that the job listing has been reposted multiple times since it was originally posted 5 months ago. That’s a lack of competence.
