Worst experience I had with any co:
1st Round – telephonic – few of dot net related questions and your current responsibilities in your organization. Not that tough. But good questions
2nd Round was at the Winwire office in Bangalore: it was telephonic to their office in Hyderabad.
Dot net related basic questions. Here I came to know that the interviewers lack of knowledge. He asked a basic question how to call a base class constructor from a derived class object. When I informed base class constructor will automatically called when derived class object is created, he starts arguing with me!
3rd was a hands on Coding round at the Winwire office in Bangalore: Some basic MVC requirement, OOPS, SQL queries etc. I was informed it will be evaluated and informed later.
4th Round managerial: In person at the Wiwire office in Bangalore. Nothing much basic managerial questions.
Now the real drama starts:
HR calls and asks me of my expectations. I mention the same. But they ask me to join the very next day of the offer release. I declined saying that it cannot be done since I have plans for the week. The offer is released by another HR which mentions to join on the next day (offer on Friday and join on Monday). I mention that I needs at least 7 days to join and asks is there a possibility of a better package.
Again before even sending the mail, I discuss with HR (the HR who released the offers) is it fine to send mail asking for a better package since I am joining within a week of offer release and rejecting a bigger co: for Winwire. HR says it is fine to ask for a better package and so I do sent the mail.
HR calls me again mentions that there is another round with the CTO (Chief Technical Officer), here I am surprised since offer has been released. I take up telephonic round on Sunday. It was nothing more that basic discussion. I ask questions on job security, technologies involved the CTO says he does not know and directs me to the HR.
On Monday morning, the HR calls up asks how the round CTO round was, I mention it was fine.
Now here comes biggest shock, on Monday noon I receive an email mentioning that offer has been cancelled with no reason provided. I call up all the HRs and asks for reason, they just does not know!
I had another offer and I even informed them I may not be joining them since I am taking up Winwire !
The most unprofessional conduct I have ever experienced. They release an offer and cancel the same for no reason provided. Again the offer was an email communication of the salary break up and no hard copy of the exact offer letter. Nobody wants join a co: with just an email with a salary break up.
Fortunately for me, the earlier co: offer was still valid and I had joined them. So candidates who are looking to pursue with Winwire, maintain caution while dealing with this firm.
