I applied in the morning and in the afternoon the director of nursing called me for a same day interview and explained the unit to me and told me to come back for orientation and start the very next week. it was just her interviewing me. She spoke for over an hour.

She didn't ask me anything she just talked about the unit and told me how important time management is. She said I will be very very busy on the unit.

Interview
I applied in person and got a call within an hour and a same day interview. I got the job on the spot. I just expressed my extreme interest in this facility while the DON spoke about the facility. After the interview I had a 2 day classroom orientation about the facility and 5 days on the floor after that I was on my own.
