      Environmental Scientist Interview

      May 6, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Wood

      Interview

Interview questions were sparse and vague. The interviewers did not seem personable and did not make me feel like I was in a human to human conversation. The interview felt quite unnatural and was not as enlightening as I had hoped. The interviewers weren't able to answer a few of my questions and didn't really inspire me about the job.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Q: Tell me about yourself and your job. Q: What makes you want this job? Q: Do you have boating experience? Q: Do you have data collection experience?

      Interview

The managers and staff were friendly. There were three parts. The first was a screening, then an interview with hiring managers, and the last was with some staff on the team.

      Anonymous employee
      Calgary, AB
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Wood (Calgary, AB) in Oct 2015

      Interview

Interview process involved the department managers. Interview was friendly and well conducted, with lots of questions regarding my abilities and skills. I had asked a lot of questions about work expectations. In the end I was hired, but I had felt that the process was somewhat misleading because the job I was hired for was very different from what I ended up doing.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Questions were based on field work, the actual interview was for an aquatics ecologist position. Was then hired as an environmental scientist to do work with databases in the office. Was difficult to get out to the field.
