Three rounds of interviews, each round with different designers at the company. In each round, the designers asked me to walk through my portfolios, then there's an Q&A section. Overall it was very conversational.

This was an initial interview with 2 designers from the company. They were very easy to talk to and answered any questions I had. This was really a chance for me to present my work.

The first interview was with two lead designers, it was very positive and they responded well to my design presentation. Overall great interview. Second interview was with one of the partners which I can say was one of the worst interviews of my life, if not THE worst. The interviewer reeked of white male supremacy. Made me present all my work for 20 mins and nodded and agreed with what I did. Then after went on bragging about the company and his accomplishments followed by a long spiel about how my work doesn’t seem to be the right fit for Work & Co. Later wanted me to convince them of the opposite. Seemed very manipulative. Would’ve appreciated knowing that from the get go rather than having two interviews and having to present my work and then being roasted for 30 mins. The reasoning didn’t completely make sense and the the partner made the whole organization seem like a religious cult. He also proceeded to make a juvenile comment about how everyone at Work & Co “dresses in all black” and that anyone who doesn’t wouldn’t fit in there and then proceeded to immediately hang up after making their point. Overall was very happy to have had that negative interview so that I didn’t have to move forward at a toxic company like this.
