The interview process consisted of two rounds. The first part was a video chat with team manager and a DBA on the team. It was about 50:50 technical and personal questions, but very relaxed. I felt as if I had plenty of time to think about my answers. The second round was a series of face to face interviews. I think I met at least 9 people that day, it was almost a full day of interviewing. Technical questions were the typical kind of knowledge any DBA would be expected to have. Throughout all the interviews there was a huge emphasis on culture and personality. The interviewees were definitely looking for someone who was the right fit for the team, this came across as the most important thing to them. I haven't seen other companies put such a strong emphasis on this so I was really impressed by this. Overall the interview process was smooth and one of the best interviews I've had. The only negative in it all was that often there is a very long time between communications, and I needed to follow up once or twice to receive information/feedback.
