I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Workday (Pleasanton, CA) in Aug 2013
Interview
I spent about an hour on a phone interview and everything seemed to be going well. The recruiter was very upbeat and (appeared to be) feeling very positive about my qualifications for the position and fit for the company. I was told that we would have a decision about moving on to a second interview with the hiring manager within a couple of days.
After five days had passed and no word back from the recruiter, I sent an email inquiry, asking if things were moving forward. No response. A couple of weeks later, I sent a second email inquiry. Again, no response. It's now several months later and of course at this point I'm not expecting to hear anything.
I would have greatly appreciated a "we're not interested at this time" communication of some sort but apparently that is not how the Workday recruiters operate. It was a strange experience going from a seemingly positive interview to the silent treatment.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There really were no difficult or unexpected questions - perhaps I'm overqualified for the job.
Straight forward, no major curve balls. Quizzed on how I've managed complex deals and how to handle difficult people internally. Pretty standard stuff. 5 interviews total including panel at the end.

Tell me me about a deal you lost and what you learned
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Workday (Stockholm, Stockholm)
Interview
A bit lengthy, but Workday is very picky. If the cultural fit is not there it does not matter if you are a rockstar. Quite a few steps to go through before the final panel
Thank you for sharing your feedback and congratulations on your new role! We’re excited you chose to join Workday and are thrilled to have you as a Workmate!
