I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at World Market in Oct 2012
Interview
I put in an application online on a whim and got an email from the GM asking me to call her. I called, set up an interview for less than a week later, went in, and was hired on the spot. It was quick, easy, and fun. The back room was cozy and the GM was nice. She made jokes and we chatted about some of her office decor. She received a short phone call halfway through the interview, but was very courteous about it and it gave me some time to plan my next answers! Most of the questions centered around my previous retail experience: what was your last job like, why did you leave it, strengths/weaknesses, etc. Your basic retail associate interview.

I applied online, called, set up an interview, and then went in. The manager was super nice, everything went pretty well, they asked basic questions, but I would only be able to work 4 hours due to being 16 and there already being 2 other 16 year-olds.
