The entire process took ~2 months. Went through at least 10 different calls, including an IQ test and pretty involved 'challenge' interview. No salary transparency at the beginning - shared my comp expectations in the 2nd call and was told in the offer call that they were going to come significantly under. To them it didn't seem like a big deal but the lack of transparency in the interview process degrades trust before you even start. No communication throughout the entire process - I was actually surprised I got the offer as I wouldn't hear back between interviews for weeks at a time. Was consistently told from many people 'this will be a very hard job' - reading between the lines, I interpreted very little work/life balance. Felt like I got fluffy and vague answers to important questions and never felt confident that I was getting the real answer. Being in hyper growth startup mode isn't an excuse for not being transparent with candidates
