My initial interaction with the recruiter was positive as they were attentive and arranged a conducive setting for a meaningful one-on-one discussion. During this session, I gained valuable insights into the role and the organization, sparking genuine excitement about the progression of the interview process. Following a follow-up email expressing their interest in moving forward, I learned that my next interview would be with the CEO's Executive Assistant (EA).
On the scheduled day, I received a notification that the interview needed to be abbreviated due to unforeseen circumstances during their offsite engagement. Despite hoping that the allocated 15 minutes would suffice for a substantive conversation, I was disappointed to find that it felt rushed and lacked the requisite attention and thoroughness needed to adequately evaluate my suitability for the position. Regrettably, the brevity of the interaction did not allow for a deep exploration of my qualifications and potential alignment with the role.
Given the concurrent offsite event, I understand the constraints on scheduling but would have appreciated the option to reschedule for a more comprehensive discussion. It was evident that both my time and candidacy were not given due consideration during this interview. Looking ahead, I trust that the organization will take this feedback into account when engaging with future candidates, ensuring a more equitable and respectful interview experience for all involved.
