This was a less than average interview experience. Applied online and had a first round interview with the recruiter. Rather than talking through my experience and the role, the recruiter launched right into questions more typical of a team or manager interview. He wasn't particularly personable and was difficult to read. Ultimately they declined to move forward with my candidacy which is totally fine. However, there were a number of open roles that may have been more closely aligned with my background. I reached back out to the recruiter to thank him for considering me for the initial role and to see if I might be a good fit for other roles (provided the reqs I was interested in). Two weeks later and no reply. Bottom line: Writer is a very interesting company and has a promising product. However, my experience was underwhelming and stood out as one of the worst interactions in my job search.
